  • Saturn L-Series Windshield Wiper Motor Replacement

This was more or less of a learning experience as I went, but I give you, the L Series Windshield (front) wiper motor replacement.

Mine was on it's way out.

Let's begin! First pop your hood, and locate where the wiper arms are attached to their control studs.

Take off the 13mm nuts, (in my case I had a 10mm and a 13mm because my car was obviously worked on by an incompetent shop)

Now firmly but carefully pull the wipers to an upward position

Now bend the wipers upwards, and push down on the wipers while lifting at the base. They should come off after jiggling around with them a bit. Remember which one is which for installating them back on!

    Here is where you're at.

    Remove weather stripping

    Carefully remove the plastic cover.

Remove the 3 10mm bolts from the wiper motor assembly. Two located near the wiper control studs, and one near the wiper motor itself.

    Unplug

    Installation is reverse of removal.

    And you're done!
