    anyone running this? if so how does it sound and under how much pressure?

    ive heard it a few times on different cars, and some cars its like titties, others hardly makes a noise (namely an evo that i stood in front of while doing a dyno pull on 28psi). of course maybe the guy bought a knock off. i was about to buy a GFB stealth fx but i ran across the hks and, for the price, couldnt resist. i still kind of think i should have got the GFB because i could stick the whistle trumpet on it and thats :shock: :shock: [img]{SMILIES_PATH}/shock.gif[/img]

    I use a SARD R2D2...is suppose to sound like an HKS, but IDK. It was about 133 shipped. It was ike 100 plus 30 to ship from Maylasia. I found it on ebay, and it was a REAL legit product...retail is around 160-180, so I think I did alright.


    The sound depends on where its placed. After intercooler, the quiter it is,..the closer to the turbo, the louder BOV's are (generally). Its better to have itclose to the t-body though, it helps keep the air moving in one direction. If you put it by the turbo, all the air in the IC piping has to stop and turn back around an go out through the BOV which is all the way back down the IC piping....then when you are in the next gear, the air has to stop agian, turn around and go back threw the IC again...There are no probelms where you put it as long as its on the IC pipe and before the t-body....it just helps to get back into boost a little sooner with it by the t-body ...theoretically.

      i have it...theres a couple vids around that you can hear it pretty well...i fucked with the spring, it sounds good, i like it....but if i was driving it daily, it would get kinda old...

        Imagine driving and SRT-4...you sneeze on the gas pedal and the BOV goes off. Now THAT has to get really annoying.

          a couple of cars of sounded like that. others just have a lite whoosh (like the purple insert for it) without the insert.

            The turbo XS RFL should sound like that, but to be honest, its one of the crappier sounding and annoying BOV's...that the main reason I hate the SRT's is they make a sound like that...it gets old quickly.

              i put an rfl on my friends eclipse, and i dont think he has enough boost. it barely pops out a little woo of air [img]{SMILIES_PATH}/lol.gif[/img] .

              but your saying the way that rx7 sounds gets annoying to you? if so, im totally opposite i love it

                I like the quite pahhwhoooossh sound....but under high boost (17-18+psi), is I loosen my sard out..it makes a realy sisinsterly evil high pitch sounds...I have heard nothing like it. I might looseing it back out agian. I tighten the spring some, and it make the chick-ka-chick-kahh sound now under low boost.

                      alright here ya go...riding in my car...hks..the 4 door has a greedy type s, kinda hard to hear sorry...also if you watch chris's vid color of fast is yellow, thats what it sounds like after screwing with the spring, and adding a air filter.......finally

                            that sounds damn good to me. now i just need to get that te61, oh and the tial wastegate, oh the tubes for the manifold, intercooler, pipes, forged internals,...........................
