why sds? are you trying to go cheaper with fuel? if so, then forget whatever your trying to do.

fuel tuning is something you really dont want to skimp on. a fmu is not fuel tuning, and a sds isnt all that great either.

        but here pros and cons

FMU PROS- super easy to hook up (if car has return style fuel system), cheap

FMU CONS- cant tune for different ranges, uses major amounts of pressure which could cause problems, usually makes car run REALLY rich and have spotty fuel throughout range

SDS PROS- pretty easy to hook up, cheap, dont mess with stock fuel system other then a tap (schrader valve)

SDS CONS- cant tune for different ranges(pressure and rpm),

im sure there are more cons to the sds, but i just had a brain fart again. if you want cheaper fuel tuning, the cheapest way is either going to be a safc or 034 because they are truly tunable. unlike those other two where you set a range, and thats it.

cool...ive have also heard that the safc doesnt tune well on the low end ...so its going to be 6 of one half dozen of the other...and there is no way i want to go through the nightmare of megasquirt...what ill more than likley do is get a tunable fmu and run a little rich...

I know everyone like to talk about how bad the sds eic is, but they aren't that bad. I've run 15+ psi on it and can get a decent tune. You will have a little bit of trouble with partial throttle, but you can make it work alright. If you are running low boost, it isn't that bad. Now that I'm running more boost and going to be getting a much bigger turbo, I'll be getting something more tuneable. But apparently Jeremy says as far as the eics go, the 034 > the sds and I would tend to believe him.

Supposably they work fucking great with alot of features. But I have neverplayed with one, so I can't get you any specifics. I don know that you will have to do alot af custom wiring to get it to fit...just like any other standalone. A saturn is not main stream, so they won't have a hraness made for it.

Fuel management devices. The SAFCII allows you to lean out the fuel. With Saturns, this is best used to tune a naturally aspirated car. The SDS EIC is Simple Digital Solutions Extra Injector Controller. This is a fuel management unit that adds two or four larger injectors that turn on when a set boot or vacuum level is achieved. It adds the additional fuel required for a forced induction car.
