i know spanky got rupped up for asking about the "loudest intake" but now i've got a similar question. i just put on an AEM cold air system, and i'm loving the newly improved whine of the supercharger, but now there's that amazing silence between gears. a sound like a blow-off valve would fill the silence perfectly, but i've never heard of one for SC's, just turbos. is there such a thing for a supercharger?

you could always get that thing off ebay that makes the BOV sound...

    it clamps to your exhaust

I don't think that superchargers have BOV's... but I could be wrong

for your style supercharger, no you cannot run a blow off valve. since you have the pressure being built after the throttle body, there's no need to have something before it try to vent pressure that's not there.

now on a centrifugal style blower, like a vortech or procharger or powerdyne, yes then you would want a BOV for when the throttle plate closes.

beat me too it . but those egay things actual just make a like whistle noise like a turbo spooling. saw one kid with one on his malibu, and man did that thing ever bubble and make a load of noise when he let off throttle.
