At some point, wouldnt the added air the turbo produces push the supercharger passed its breaking point???

$10 says they are going to need a bypass valve for a twin charge setup to make it run efficiently (thinking of matts)

doesnt the turbo negate the supercharger or the supercharger negate the turbocharger....

wouldnt it have a adverse reaction

<br />Sometimes when I reflect back on all the beer I drink I feel ashamed. Then I look into the glass and think about the workers in the brewery and all of their hopes and dreams. If I didn't drink this beer, they might be out of work and their dreams would be shattered. Then I say to myself, "It is better that I drink this beer and let their dreams come true than be selfish and worry about my liver."

Sorry, I couldn't help but post about how funny that is. And as I said on tsn, that is going to be nice once it finds its way to its true home.

whatever the turbo pushes would simply be along for the ride when it goes thru the supercharger.

                      so 14psi from teh SC + 10 from the turbo = 24psi

at least thats how it was explained to me.

no it won't combine them, the higher boost pressure will try to maintain itself

so say you're running 14psi at the blower and 20psi at the turdbo, you wouldn't end up with 34psi, more like around 20. at one point the blower will just have the air passing through it and won't be recompressing it.

that's how it was explained to me by one of the companies who make a twincharged "kit" for the redline.

my logic of thinking though, as Matt and I have gone over it before, is that the blower will become a breathing restriction at some point if you have a large enough turdbo. IMO, it would be a better idea to convert over to a decent sized turdbo.

hence the bypass valve which at a certain psi would route the pressure from the turbo straight to the engine instead of having to deal with the super.

what is the point of having both super and turbo
