hey got a idea

so not sure what im gonna do with the talon if nobody buys it ill part it out..so my question is...it came with a ss tubular turbo manifold..
the flange is close to our size..so if i hacked it off welded on a 5 bolt flange..i could turbo my sc2 reasonably priced???,i mean i have the intercooler,the pipng have to cut and bend but i think theirs enough,and of course the "big" 16g turbo...
i know it would be some work and id have to figure out the fuel solution but...it could be done rather easy right???
i mean not easy but feasible??most of you guys no i can fab up some shit..
so anythoughts on this???

yeah, that should work out. i dont like that turbo much at all. my friends eclipse has the super 16g, doesnt spool very well on his car at least. pretty small too.

honestly steve, I know I've seen a few decently priced turbo maniflolds floating around here and there. It would probably be just as cheap to find one someone is getting rid of. As for the 16g. Is it the big 16? They can definitly handle a good amount of power but due take a little longer than most to spool(as someone stated earlier). Anyways, if he parts the car, I'll give you $250 for the rolling chassis.

oh, btw. I can acros some super secret information a few months back that I was gonna keep under wraps for personal gains(lol) but I figure I ca share. A buddy of mine was mesing around with a saturn at our old shop and found that an H series manifold will fit the LLO head very well. Only one stud hole had to be drilled out and everything sealed perfectly. This was for a turbo manifold though so I dont think it would work as a header design.

i noticed tonight that the neon RT flange is really close to ours.

the 4G63 flange is VERY VERY similar to the 9 bolt dohc head. it will pretty much botl up..

i love how it seems that alot of us came upon this idea in a pretty close period of time...thats why i posted a question about exhaust ports lol...i too was tempted to find one on my own and keep it under wraps maybe make a couple for resale, but in the dreams of seeing saturns gain street cred i too would have spoken up and shared the wealth lol, there should be a list created somewhere on here of all the different manifolds that bolt up, almost bolt up, or can eb reflanged for our engines
