ok... will that make it a complete "standalone" or is the stock PCM still required to run other aspects of the 1.9?

Does this require changing out the stock coil packs with somehing else... or does it run those as well?

I'm a bit hazy on all of it... I mean, I read the site but i'm not so electronically inclined to completely understand it all

I used all stock sensors and the tock coil pack.

Just need to wire it all up and tune it.

Right now, I am having a problem with the flash staying burned to the chip. I'm using a beta embedded chip code (2.3a). The is a newer version (2.33) that has been offically released. I read a few probems with that as well, but from what I understand, it is pretty solid. I down loaded it and the newer tuning software to go with it, but haven't had the time to dick with it yet. I'll hold off till next week.

There is an older vesion that was solid. The 2.1 embeded code is supposably solid, but I'm not sure if it supports the DIS timing. I haven't tryed the older stuff, but maybe I should.

Ohhh, all that fine stuff is left to the stock PCM...and your trusty "tunerz" light sill stay on too.

I think I should take the time and re-wire mine up...its a cluster fuck under the dash right now.

What's better in contrast. The Megasquirt w/ IGN, or Tec3?
                What goes here?

What do you guys recommend I run with a Centrifugal S/C setup? I don't believe I have to go so extensive as a tec3, even though that would work the best. I'm just looking for a reliable setup that will last me for as long as I like, without running the risk of heat-soak.

i was just reading it and i was like 2.3.... lol long time ago.

Just for an update since it's alive again, the ms2 will run your stock ign, but some people have had problems with it and have switched to running a ford edis ign system. I couldn't get my ms2 to work this summer ( hardware problem) so I'm back to running ms1 and stock ign and it's a huge difference in power.
