ok i wanna dump some beers into my saturn just kidding

i know alch injection helps out turbo cars significantly but would there be any benifit on a n/a car?? like maybe get a window switch and have it activate later up so when you nail it it starts pumping.

    just curious

not that I know of....unless you run the car purly off alcky. The probelm with alcohol is that it eats gaskets and other fuel system components, so you would have to redo everything....well anything that would be affected.

Also, alcohol burns cooler, so you need to burn to release as much energy....but if you look at the a/f ratio , when the proper a/f is obtained MORE energy is released, but you would be stopping about twice as much to fuel up the car.

A Chevrolet 5.7-liter LS1 V8 with this much specific power (horsepower per cubic inch) would be making 2,137 hp

If your just looking for a colder intake, I think CO2 would be safer than the alky, or an ice box setup.

I saw a Jack Daniels alcohol injection kit once LOL

anyway, I would think you would have to use a certain grade of alcohol anyhow which could be costly. Like methanol like AC66 was saying.

just don't spreay the co2 directly into the intake tract, it will cause loss of power since the co2 will take the place of the o2 when the fuel makes it's bonds if I remember right.

lol true, every situation I've seen the engine bogged down bad and just about stalled out but didn't. I didn't say a small loss, I just said loss of power as in falling flat on it's face haha.

there's a company that actually sells something called "cheetah jets" that you mount on your bumper side sections. they spray co2 toward your opponent before you run so that he loses the holeshot by bogging from the ingested co2. pretty shitty if you ask me.

no shit... my dads been playing around with this shit for about a year now... we had something hooked up for a bit but it made the one line lose pressure and sent me into limp mode.. if you research it there is alot of benefit to be gained from it but it has to be done right.
