fo sho man...just let me know where you be....im trying hard to turbo my sc1 but i dont know man it seems a lil ify you know i was wanting to convert it to a dohc but some ppl say it would be eaiser to just do a complete motor swap....what is your opinion man?do you think i would be safe runing 7 psi on a sohc? and o-yea...the guage was free so i thoought why not...hit me back bro....streets closed pizza boy find another way home<br />

I wouldnt' boost the SOHC based on how the heads are known to crack alone, that and a bolt-on DOHC will still be faster, that's just how it is right now.
if you swap the head your static CR will be the same. with conservative boost and good tuning you can have a pretty fun daily. honestly no need to do the entire engine IMO since you already have the same pistons, rods, crank, etc. I'd just swap over the gurdle/windage tray from a DOHC when you do the head swap (including intake manifold), and then you'll have to swap the timing kit anyway. bam, there's your DOHC engine.
