  • So my nitrous works now...

Thanks to a brand new Zex window switch, I should've went this damn route a month ago. I think we screwed something up the first time with that MSD switch because it took me one shot to hook this window switch up correctly.

Heres my deal though, I CANNOT get my bottle pressure above 800psi...the bottle heater I have stays on for about 2 min. max and it doesn't heat up shit!

Who else here has the Zex bottle heater? I'm thinkin about replacing this bitch because the shot is kinda weak, actually it is weak at 800psi and dropping.

800 is way to low, thats your problem

does this one have a thermostat to disarm at a secific temp? bypass it and you should just have to watch the gauge to manage it. if mine is in it stays in the 850-900psi area, but I have it bypassed and keep it between 950 and 1100, and that makes a huge difference.

      +1,000,000 lol.

I keep mine around 1100 and it does make a big difference. I too bypassed my thermostat before I ever installed it but you must have a gauge that you can watch. If your bottle is in the trunk with a gauge on it you better have one in the dash or somewhere you can watch it.

I have forgotten mine three or four times now (like a moron) and so far it's killed the car battery before blowing the burst discs on the bottle. So, if you choose to do this, just be mindful of it. I changed mine to a lighted switch so that I see it as a reminder of it being on.

yeah I know, I just got my bottle filled, I went out for some freeway runs and the bottle pressure was just over 600psi. this heater is trash I know this can't be right, what fuckin temp does it watch? 40 degrees?

I don't know how I can bypass the thermostat though because the wires are going directly into the thermostat and its kinda attached to the blanket.

I ordered a different bottle heater from dynotune nitrous that watches pressure instead of bottle temp so this should fix the problem.

I do have to say though that this thing pulls way harder than stock even at this shitty bottle pressure so I can't even imagine what 1000psi is gonna be like.

And I'm already spinning 1st and 2nd gear...and on one downshift from 4th to 3rd on the highway I just slightly slipped the tires before it caught.

Pressures and stresses of all kinds thermal and mechanical loading across the board escalate to extreme levels. A Chevrolet 5.7-liter LS1 V8 with this much specific power (horsepower per cubic inch) would be making 2,137 hp

the difference in feel is going to be exponentially better, you'll be suprised

then comes the fun task of figuring out how to drive your car again, good times lol
