  • Kit Differences

So i'm looking at going nitrous to get some more power out of my car. I've been mainly looking at zex and nx kits and was wondering the differences between the NX hitman and stage 1 kits. who has what and why? i'd be looking at sticking around a 50 shot on a stock motor with two intake cams and using both a WOT and window switch.

Don't use a dry shot...other then that, they are premuch the same...they spray nitrous and they spray fuel...its pretty simple.

i like hte NX kits, the solinoids actaully look like they can handle 1000psi unlike my NOS brand kit, but i never had a problem with my NOS ones locking up...Ive only had experiance with NX and NOS. They both work...but if i would by another kit, i would do NX.

I think the difference between the kits is the flowrate of the silenoids

but with a 50 shot of nitrous it shouldn't matter much which one you get...

and then with Zex of course your silenoids are included in a box instead of separately.

I like my Zex kit but I wasn't a fan at first because when I was having trouble there wasn't really much if any documentation pointing to a Zex kit. They were all for traditional setups...

Just something to consider if you need installation help...

Dyno Tune makes some great nitrous products. Look into them.

I'll toss in my vote for NX, I have been happy with mine for some time.

I have had alot of issues with my Zex manager. the other day it started this wierd thing where if I engage the switch it will raise my RPM's to 1500 at idle. Before that I had issues with the way it(the manager) engaged.

actually, up until recently, the way that all solenoids flow is the same for NX. they just changed it with the new carbon fiber ones (I was at the NX booth a lot this year at nopi lol and they showed me the schematics of it)
