  • How can you get a SL2 , SC2, Or SW2 to 500+hp?

Okay as the title states how could you get a 4 banger Saturn any S series to 500 hp? Without dropping a biturbo rwd v6 in it? Can any amount of building make this possible? What parts would yield anything close to this? Lets just say you had the money to do so how would you do it? Is it possible to dual charge a Saturn? (super charge and turbo charge?)

Maybe I can do it. My motor made 450+ on a bigger turbo. My current turbo chokes out around 500, but I shouldn't really try to push it that hard.

I honestly would like to see the dyno of your vehicle or a vid of some pulls on the highway. I'm going to build my wagon in order to beat a couple of quick near that hp range cars in my area owned by friends. Since I'm going to have excess monetary gains laying around since my wife is working now.

Sam was 40 horses shy of the 500 mark when his car was still mostly Saturn. That was with a hit of nitrous wasn't it?

Yes....but it was also with P/S and A/C that complicated things a little better. Jay's car made more power than mine at every boost level but he didn't have P/C and A/C...so that freed up some room for more efficient plumbing too. Perry has had it over 500hp since it purchased the Monstah, he just doesn't post about very much.

                      ARP errything

                      Forged internals
                      6262 turbo
                      That should about do it.

Good luck. Entirely too much effort and money involved.

Add to that a Mcleod clutch (I want to say the ACT's limits were showing below 400 hp). Also I believe Jay discovered some weaknesses in the transaxle case. Sam might be able to chime in on both matters.

Still pretty sweet to run a turd against the vast majority "fast" cars and win. I think it's definitely going to be worth the money.
