Around 25mpg is what I've fiqured over the last couple of fill ups. But I drive hard sometimes, so I assume it could be better.

i get somewhere in the neiborhood of 28-35 on average. if its all highway it could be up around 40, but if i'm driving in town and beating it, it could be down around 25. second and third gens seem to be better on gas. so far that i've seen.

it will also depend on whether you have an auto or manual along with your driving habits. I commute about 50 miles a day and drive about 70-75mph. and I'll step on it merging and passing with my dohc auto. I get roughly 26-28mpg normally. driving my mom's manual dohc the same way I could get maybe 32-34mpg

In the 95 sl1 manual I get about 30 city and and 26 highway also the engine is in 400,000+ range, so they can last if you take care of them and do maintience.

Depends on the car as well. The 3rd gens have emissions crap, so they get way worse gas mileage.

I'm looking at a 98 4 door, I don't know what it is, S or L, or if it's a 2V or 4V, but it's an auto with reverse problems, so Im thinking of swaping to a manual. I'll find out more this week. What can be done to improve mileage, I'm all for the mileage.

                        Thanks.

my 97 sl2 5psd slight mods, i get 46mpg (highway) and like 28ish city (canadian mpg not american so a little different)

but i get around 550km-600km per tank at like 40Litres. if set it at like 65-70mph

my womans 00 auto 3rd gen gets around 450-550 ish if she's lucky on the highway at the same speed totally stock.

my buddys 02 sc2 5spd (mp2) full bolt ons gets like 48mpg on the highway its pretty nuts.
