  • 2.5 inch exhaust

well, UPS finally got the exhaust i bought to my house today. full redline exhaust, header all the way back to the muffler.

i know for sure that i'm gonna be replacing the cat and downpipe on my exhaust with the new 2.5 inch downpipe and the redline cat.

probly gonna be LSJ header > 2.5 inch downpipe w/cat > 2 feet of piping > spiralflow > some sort of dump

not sure what i'm gonna do after the muffler, but i'm borrowing my aunt's digital camera tomorrow morning, so i'll post up pics of it when finished.

holy crap is it louder. all i did was larger piping and turn the dump to side about 45* and it's LOUD.

but the thing pulls like a mother up high in 1st and 2nd

hope to get some pics up tomorrow.

*edit* lols, and my SES has gone away since i put on the new exhaust. over 2 hours of driving so far and it's still gone...

                oh, i almost forgot.

my auto instructor saw the exhaust and told me it'd void my warranty. i said, first off, my warranty's expired. secondly, an exhaust will NOT void a car warranty because of the Magnusson-Moss Warranty Act. the instructor then tells me "you're talking to a former service manager, that warranty act is bullshit. if you'd come into my dealership and said that i'd have told you to fuck off."

                fucking GENIUS!!!!!

and all the other students accept everything he says blindly, like it's the word of God....

Cause if it doesn't have a carb, you can't mess with it. Jesus, what a sorry pack of old dipshits in those schools. All I hear is you guys talking about them. Like andy's teacher telling them to look for a timing belt.

uh...as far as i know, i was the only talking about that. the teacher assistant dude kept insisting that all OHC engines had timing belts. that was the same assistant who tried to tell me that my ion had a carberator. and that's the same assistant who told me that exhaust oxygen sensors work based off of how hot the O2 sensor gets. (they don't, they create an electric current based on ratio of o2 in exhaust to o2 in outside air) and when i looked that up in the book and showed him where he was wrong, he started coming up with even more BS.

I'm not so old yet that I forget. Maybe it was you with that specific instance, but i have heard many tales of the teachers lately.

when I take off my 2.25" dynamax turbo muffler off my satty, I will put it on my wifes 5cyl rabbit. So does that mean I void her warranties? JK I know why it doesn't.

I'm glad you live far away, or I'd have to straight out own your idiot instructor. I've used that act many times and every time it came out in my favor (because I obviously wouldn't challange anything that would be the fault of a part durrr lol)

glad the exhaust came out well.
