alright put it on and started it once....2 mins of running the paint chipped off...i mean all of it leaving just the POS 'metal' they used...im not goin to use it long maybe long enough to build my other engine and get a qksltwo equal length tubular manifold..but pacesetter sucks ill never get anything pacesetter again

screw it...it doesnt leak so i dont care how it looks now this engine sucks anyways...i just got the head rebuilt for about 1100 then i went to SDA and thought that i could have gotten a really good head for a couple hundred less....oh well im never givin up on my saturn...Comment

sounds like you have a leak somewhere possible vaccum leak or your map sensor is toast..2004 Ion Redline Blue sunroof, advance audio, nexen rubber more to come..

Yeah, pacesetter is cheap. Too bad you had to learn about that the hard way. It's always a good idea to search the boards or post up a question about stuff like that before purchase.

the materials are very thin, it won't take too long
it'll happen even quicker if it's heat wrapped, the trapped heat will weaken the thin super mild steel crap quick and then basically collapse on itself or blow open. I got to see a bunch first hand from various cars have this happen, all from pacesetter.
pick up a 91/92 OEM manifold with downpipe and you won't have to worry about durability issues at all.-Vinny

i might actually drive with it for a month or two...i contacted 6th planet and they a have a low mileage block i can get for cheap so i can start the rebuild...has anyone on here used SDA's hyperutectic low comp pistons or there scat rods...cuz im goin to go with SDA on most but im goin to Ian for the cams and turbo manifold...so yeah this engine is done...im goin to sell the head it was just redone and has no miles on it paid 1100 for the rebuild...any takersComment
