• Cost Question For Parts

Ok, Well I know many of you have already gone through this process, and this is probably a lot to ask, but I was wondering if any one could give me an expected price to part for each of these items. I know how to find them, but I'm not familiar with what is a good price or not. Im also wondering if i was to install all these would I net atleast a noticable gain? I am planning on a little weight reduction too, but assuming i was to properly tune this set up I should net atleast noticable gain.

Car is a 97' SC2 AT

-Exhaust 2 1/4 in mandrel or 2 1/2 in Crush
-92' header or OBX header ( Like to keep A/C, do these allow tht?)
-Hi-Flow Cat
-SAFC II
-WBO2
-Spark plug wires ( mine have over 145,000 on them)
-Poly Motor Mounts

If I'm missing anything else that should be added let me know.

Thanks

Yeah, you should net maybe 10-15 whp with that....as well as improved feel and response.

Your first mod should be a manual swap if you really want to get serious about this.

Exhaust, depends...I got both of mine done for under $200 at a local shop....some places might charge you $500.

The only exhaust manifolds that won't let you keep AC are custom turbo manifolds. The '92 can be had for $30+shipping, usually. The obx is about $175 shipped on eBay.

Cat - $55 shipped, eBay.

SAFC - $200 from a forum, or like, $243 from eBay

WBO2 - Got mine for $200 from TSN...otherwise, qksltwo has em for like, $375 brand new...that's gonna be the cheapest.

Spark plug wires, just go to napa. I think they were $10 or something. $16?

Poly mounts - Get em from Baldy on Saturnspot....he charges $80, or $50 and you ship him your old mounts. The SDA ones are good if they ever get them in stock.
-2002 Saturn SC2 - Clean, slow, low daily
-2008 Saab 9-7x Aero
-1996 Suzuki Bandit 750 swapped
-1998 VW Golf GTI VR6 Mid Engine LeMons car
-1986 RX7 - 275whp @ 10psi

^--mentioned stuff + manual swap (and might as well get the cash for a good used Fidanza flywheel) + Ebay X (CAI + Front strut bar) = good
Then maybe unplug the battery for 15 mins after you get it all installed.
List sounds good, once installed, save $500 for nitrous wet 50. Have fun.
Go with the MS if you want to try something much more of a standalone EMU.
