• Feasible?

    Hey guys,

I'm looking to buy a Saturn for a daily driver and would eventually like to break into the high 14's in the 1/4 mile. I'd probably buy a '95 SC2 as that's what my friends recommended I get for what I'm shooting for.

Anyways, how do you guys recommend I get there? I know there are some people in the 14's NA but don't know how much they spent. I'm really open to anything except for engine swaps.

    Thanks guys.

Welcome! You have definately come to the right place for information on your goals. There is the guy from SDA that hit a 14.2 i believe in an SC2 and it had a decent amount of work done to the motor, not only bolt ons but head work, intake manifold etc. i think they might have their set up posted http://www.streetdesignauto.com but there is also the turbo route if you like that. there are so many ways to get the 14's pick a route and there are some very knowledgeable guys here to help.

Pressures and stresses of all kinds thermal and mechanical loading across the board escalate to extreme levels. What do you recommend? Right now I'm thinking of bolt ons with some mild tuning and some nitrous. Do you think that'd get me there reliably?

                      Thanks.

                        sure would

and I think if tuned right you could probably go with one step colder plugs for 50, but you'll bump it in time to 75 so might as well go two steps then.

and yes, you will, it's that much fun

                            Agreed.

Nitrous is a good "bang for the buck". It's easy to install and becomes addictive as hell lol. Adding some bolt-ons won't hurt you at all of course, especially for intake and exhaust flow.

....and as always remember, weight reduction is free.
