The TB you want is from the Geo Storm GSI. I have pulled two of them so far. I did find a non-GSI and they looked similar but did not have time to really look at it.

Anyway, Ranzear on TSN did a good write-up on the installation and slight fabrication involved in doing this swap.

Yeah, I pulled one...there's 4 bolts, which is a little tricky, but not too bad. You'll need those bolts, the saturn ones are too short.

I then pulled a tranny and a subframe....and when it was time to check out, they wanted $40 freaking bucks for the stupid thing. $10-15 would have been reasonable. The guy was like "Dude, they're like, $200 new", and I was like "Yeah, and a new transmission will cost me $2100, and you're selling that for $79"

        So, I left it.

Junkyard is your best shot, a u-pull-it style is preferred. I picked up one in Ft. Lauderdale and I saw two in Daytona last week. Threre is not much to removing them but the bolts are tricky. I am not sure what you call them, kind of a reverse torx head and as Shaolin said, keep the bolts 'cause you will need them or pick some of your own.

yeah I hear that...the problem is that up here in CT there is no good salvage yards that are realy open to the public so this operation is gonna be a little difficult...would there be any suggestions from a New Englander on where to set my sail to find a decent junkyard or would anyone be willing to grab and go and i pay for your services kinda deal cuz this mod seems all the well worth it and I am totally trying to set my path on the never heard of before impossible status with a saturn....hoping to someway fabricate something to make it AWD....i kno...you all can laught and point and tell me its impossible but i have a trusty team and with a lot of learning and prob a lot of beer...it will get done. Thanks for all the info thus far

OK this may be a dumb question. What advantages does this Geo storm TB have over a P&P TB from minivan tuner?

Would it fit on a 3rd gen, if there is a performance difference?

Uhh...you can fit a Saturn TB INSIDE one of these. It's massive.

Didn't something have to be fabbed up for the throttle cable? no?

It should fit just about anything, with minor mods to the vacuum tree.

will it jsut bolt up to the saturn Intake manifold? or is there an extension that needs to be fabricated, like a connector?
