      its doable. it be easier to buy a redline and put qc fascia on it

      guna need wiering harness. ecm. maybe bcm.. axles.

      duno seems like im missing something

A Chevrolet 5.7-liter LS1 V8 with this much specific power (horsepower per cubic inch) would be making 2,137 hp

          Yea I would think that setup would be pretty easy.

            as andy said, you need a new ecu and harness, possibly axles, and you may run into an issue with the BCM also since the vin's won't match up

            it would be a bitch, but not too rediculous

              True Vin, difficult but doable I am sure. Having the whole cradle and suspension is cool, and makes it a relatively easy installation. (do you think that would bolt into a Sedan front end??)

              Ecu might work but as you said, the BCM would be an issue, maybe it could be hacked?? Axles I have no idea but what would be funny is five lug in the front and four in the back lol. I guess a redline rear swap would be in order.

              Damn that would be a fun sleeper though. Especially with ION-1 trim. You could pick up one of them used, at auction or from a rental place pretty damn cheap nowadays.

                  It's not like putting a V8 into an S-10 that had an Iron Duke 2.5 in it stock....... wait, that's easier..... no ECU.....

                  It's not nearly as rediculous as trying to add F/I to an S-Series....... wait...... anyone here done that yet? lmao... jfwy.

                  You're going to of course need the boost guage, and there will of course be miles of wire to run...... but it should be fairly simple. I would go and put money that you'll need to swap the guage cluster too, but I'm not too sure on the Ion series.

                  Cradle - Cradle = match
                  axles - axles = switch
                  hub assemblies = ?
                  brakes = most likely switch
                  battery relocation = duh..... required.
                  radiator - radiator = not sure..... I'll check into that further.
                  suspension = your call
                  linkages (throttle, shift and such) = of course
                  fuse boxes = yes
                  Clutch Hydraulic Assembly = in the air..... Vinny, you know?

                  That is all for now..... I'll look up more info on the parts I couldn't be too sure on and post when I find out..... if someone doesn't beat me to the punch.

                    axles are possibly needed to be switched

                    radiator should be the same

                    linkage for shifting would be fine, throttle could be retained if you swap over the 2.2 TB and use the cable instead of throttle by wire

                    fuse box is the same

                    the battery is in the trunk for both already

                    clutch cylinder should be the same, I'm more concerned with brake setup

                    I'm wondering if the BCM would really freak out or just find a way to make the info work that it's getting, not sure

                    and you wouldn't need a boost gauge, there's no point in one aside from watching the needle move around.

                      ^^^^God can you just imagine all the shit that could possibly go wrong????

                      Not to burst you're bubble, but it'll probably be WAY less of a headache to just trade in you're car and get a redline

                      I'm going to be honest with ya, I wouldn't do it, leave it to some company to work out the kinks in that and then try it you're self

                      cuz shit, imagine if you keep finding more and more interesting shit that doesnt want to work

                      You know what I mean? It's not like you have a almost unlimited bank supply

                        well, yes and no

                        IMO, it would be no harder than a SOHC TBI to DOHC EFI swap.

                        I spoke with a lot of people this weekend at GM specifically about things like this, one of which the guy who builds the Time Attack Cobalts (first name is Joe, dont' remember his last but hung out with him quite a while) and it really sounds like it wouldn't be too intensive at all in comparison to some things that have been questioned.
