  • intake manifold cleanout

well i have heard you can gas them and burn the shit out.
But someone also said that the heat may warp the manifold. is this true or are there better ways of cleaning the shit out?

last one I did, I took a can of engine degreaser and sprayed the peanuts out of it, then drained it, washed it out, and repeated a few times. came out just about spotless inside.

it might, but with the cost of gas prices this might be more cost efficient, and I know it will work. S.Bretz originally instructed me to do this, and I trust his judgement for numerous reasons.

i would use paint thiner b4 gas. i have always been tought gas is for one use and one use only. put it in a gas tank.

note this is only if you chose to go this rout.

there is also a product called hydraseal. let it soak and brush it. and your done. how ever hydra seal is expencive but reusable. its what we use on carbs.

Pressures and stresses of all kinds thermal and mechanical loading across the board escalate to extreme levels. A Chevrolet 5.7-liter LS1 V8 with this much specific power (horsepower per cubic inch) would be making 2,137 hp

As long as its an aluminum manifold, +1 to gas and a bonfire.
