  • Throttlebody Modification

Alright, I have my old throttlebody, I'm getting ready to bore it. I'm making my own throttle-plate (I'm good like that)

But I can't find in any manual, how to remove the throttle-rod out of the throttle body.

    Can anyone elaborate the situation?

just a suggestion: look into using the TB from a geo storm. the sensors are all the same, bolt pattern should be the same, and you just need to make a bracket for the cable stuff. do a search on TSN, Ranzear did a good writeup on it.

just make sure you dont do an oblong bore job and then get a high idle and then a engine code and other problems.

that is an option people are doing

if you try to bore it and put a new plate in without a machine that can evenly bore it, then dont try it. even if it looks even, the slightest gap can affect it.

Eh, the Geo TB doesn't really need a boring.

Plus, there's not a whole lot of meat to it. I don't know if you could get it big enough to notice a difference.

Bah...... Jeremy, you're killing me....... think about the car I'm driving....... SATURN...... S-SERIES.

                          Saturn MP2 or MP3 Trans + Take-off = busted transaxle......

I haven't even got the pin welded yet. It's just sitting here waiting for a transmission because that's what the last owner did.

You're kidding right? If you launch right, you'll be fine.

Showing off for your friends by doing ebrake burnouts for 5 seconds = 30+ good launches

Meh. If Im doing any kind of driving that involves "launching" Im going to want the diff. welded. It doesnt JUST come out after burnouts, thats just a surefire way to punch a hole in your transmission.

PS, why does my apostrophy key bring up the search bar? Dammit!
