  • ecotec into s-series

so yea, last nite i was at some illegal races and a cobalt ss was kickin' some butt. i kno the ecotec has potential and i was wondering how much of a pita it would be to drop the ecotec into an s-series. i'd probably want to drop it into a 1st gen if it's possible. if anyone knows of any links to pics of this swap it would be greatly appreciated if u post them. thx a lot in adv.

umm it works.. well... i think donuts has make a kit and does the installs were it retains the s tranny so there are no worries.. .there is one that runs in our neck of the woods, it runs nice but its still a slow 2.2

it's slow because I'm sure it doesn't run for shit too matt.

the engine has potential, if you could get it in there with the MP3 tranny it would be sweet, stock power at the wheels is that of a LL0 with bolt-ons

but, you would really need to make sure you tuned it to run properly, that's going to make or break it

i forsee lots of money spent and a half built frankenstien car
that is such a huge undertaking you would be better off puttin a turbo on the 1.9

well, I mean if we wanted we could do it, but I've considered putting a 13b single turbo or 20b in over an eco just because there's not much if any support as far as parts to get it done. but, it is possible.
