  • i need a new clutch

    yeah i drive a 01 sc2 and the clutch is going out, where can i find a nice performance clutch or any performance saturn parts for that fact, im new to the saturn scene. and is it hard to put a new clutch in my dad knows some stuff about cars but not alot and i know just as much as he does....

      umm i plan on doing cold air, a whole new exhaust system, intake manifold, possibly in the future once i get a better job rebuilding the engine and boring it out, short shift throw kit, new brakes

        well if you are going to starts this after a while and you need a clutch now just get a cheap one off EBAY as far as parts check EBAY first there is always good deals there for CAI's

          If you want a real clutch get an ACT 6 puck.

          Real men have those.

                im so confused [img]{SMILIES_PATH}/sad.gif[/img] i just want a performance clutch or even a stock clutch till i can do a complete engine overhaul..... and dont know where to look

                      From the way it sounds, you don't need performance clutch yet.

                      Save your money and go OEM for now.

                          Don't sue the 6 puck on a stock engine. The ceramic pads cause too much wear on the pressure plate and the flywheel.... If you use one, you will start to find it hard to make fast shifts after about 50Kmiles....and then you will find that you need a new clutch agian after only 50K miles, and a new flywheel. Only get a 6 puck clutch if you need it.

                            Agreed, build up the other stuff first and then get an ACT later. If you are noticing your clutch going now it won't be long before it's gone and then you are stuck. Replace it with an OEM type for now and start learning about the rest.
