With an intake you will feel the difference. It's not like wow difference but it is a fairly cheap mod worth doing that helps

stock I think is 48mm actually, may be wrong though

if you have the money, go for the SPS unit

if not, myself and some others do them for people as well.

the throttle plates are 52mm on the sps and the opening is 56mm, stock is 50mm. sps says its been dynoed at 14 on modified dohc, so the more u have done the more u notice it, but not really worth it unless u have atleast a cai, id imagine u would actualy feel it if ur blown

        neways minor hyjack
what ever happend to that strutbar sps made? didnt they used to make 2 different ones? they dont have any now?

no, stock is 50 at the mouth and 48 at the plate, I"m almost positive.

14hp is pretty far fetched, I don't think it will be that much

as of late SPS stopped making some stuff, the ones I noticed was suspension parts. heard a rumor they're steering away from s-series and more towards Ions, which IMO is the wrong approach.

yeah thats what i said 50mm i just didnt say 48 at the plate lol and they said on a modified dohc, they didnt say how modified lol

and yeah i agree with u cuz enouth (well not enough but more) people make stuff for ions and almost no one for s-series, i find it funny that thats what u think tho cuz u have an ion

well it comes down to this: the s-series is our bread and butter. shit I can change or install almost anything on one at this point, most of the guys here can also. there's also a large following for them compared to 5-10 years ago. they still make parts for EG and EK hondas, so I don't see why not s-series, which has a high demand now since their value is next to nothing to buy especially.

yeah I think that was dyno was BHP (meaning a modified engine with no accesories on a flywheel dyno) but I may be wrong.

well the s-series was a "saturn" the ion is a gm with dent resistant doors and thats ended so now saturn is 100% gm

not really, the ion is still saturn, and gm was involved during the days of the s-series, it's just now that people are realizing it

                    SOOOO ANYWAYS!!

                    The throttle body

I suggest you just bore it out you're self

it's next to free and you get a way better throttle responce THAT WAS TESTED on my single cam of fury

the manifold reaches 0 vacuum way quicker, so it's betta

                    and free

Dont bother with the TB unless you are doing it yourself. Dont pay for one, its not worth the money.
