Thought you guys might be able to make use of this. Making EDUCATED guesses is the name of the game...Hope this helps out.

INJECTOR CALCULATOR

I calc'd my build out last night.

I can't recall the % drivetrain loss there is for whp on FWD so I went with 15%

480bhp(~408whp)
BSFC = .65 (Turbocharged Motor)
Duty Cycle = .65
PSI @ Rail = 55psig (which I think we can do just fine since we sit @ like 40 I think)

Injector Size = 1122cc (so a 1000 - 1100cc might work for the build if not bigger)

INPUTS? Anyone?

thats half the part. now you need to figure out the rest of the fuel system.

if it was me, i would increase pressure a bit more and increase the duty cycle to 70-75%

I shot another set of numbers as such:

480bhp~408whp
BSFC = .65
DC = .70
Pressure = 60 PSIG
right around 994 or 1000cc injectors

Also shot this:

425bhp = 361.2whp
BSFC = .65
DC = .70
Pressure = 80psig
765cc Injectors

I'm not sure what a safe pressure is on the ECOtec fuel rail so I didn't go apeshit on the pressure. Oh yeah, also thought back on that comment about considering the rest of the fuel system. I'm going with a Walbro 255L/hour pump and an FPR from Aeromotive as well as some SS braided lines for the fuel movement, most likely going to convert it to a return style as well. So I have thought about the rest of it...just so happens that I posted this before I confided in you about the rest of the fuel system.

cool. but i just looked in my gm performance guide book, and dont see anything about the fuel rail, which im sure can take like 60+psi. but i also noticed their fuel injector suggestions for certain power ranges, and for 400-600 they say to use 4 70lbs (like 735cc) injectors, tuning of course is the key to making certain injectors work.
