2005 redline bolt on fun!!

ok..as many of you know...my dad judt picked up an 05 redline with the comp package...

he enlisted me to do some research on bolt ons and such for the car...ie:intake...exhaust...little stuff like that

i just wanna know what there are for options for stuff...and if anyone has anything that thye think would be good...

and he doesnt wanna do anything to i that cant be aken back off....like no cutting or welding or modifying...just strictly bolt on stuff here

the intake...torque braces...ummm pulley...and other things im not really thinking of..

cat back exhaust from Corsa, Magnaflow, Altered Atmosphere, Thermal R&D. Intakes from AEM, K&N, Weapon R, Korax. Saturn Motorports has a new big bore throttle body. Short throw shifters from B&M and Hurst. All of these things seem like the likely upgrades for all redline owners. The only mod I have on my redline so far is the K&N CAI and I'm enjoying it so far. I'm saving for the GM staged upgrades.

Like said before, intakes, exhaust, headers are standard bolt ons that can all be had. Best header seems to be the SMS system, comes with header/hi flow cat & downpipe/solid trans mount, and seems well worth the $900. For all the RL bolt on fun, you should check out http://www.redlineforums.com . All the info on RL's you could ever want, and a vendor section that caters to the RL's. Pullies are another good "bolt on" upgrade that can be had cheaper (and prettier [img]{SMILIES_PATH}/biggrin.gif[/img]) than the stage upgrade from gm (stage 2). Billetflow has pullies that are all anodized, and awesome quality. When a part can look great as well as perform, you can't go wrong. Witht the 3.15" pully from them, it's not too big of an upgrade to worry about going lean in the top end at all. I know there's tons more, and more coming out soon, but I don't feel like rambling anymore. Go check out the RL boards and have fun.

Get the K&N Intake, Header of your choice( There are cheaper solutions), Pulleys (3.0 Is a good start but some ppl are running 2.9 w/o problems), tourque brace and exhaust. You should be pretty good right there. With that setup you should probobly be very low 14's and maybe high 13's with a good launch. [img]{SMILIES_PATH}/biggrin.gif[/img] While im on launches, get better tires. Thats one thing i need...... Damn 60'.....

speaking of GM's stage kits... when the hell are they being released. i heard about them a while ago, and then nothing. when can we expect them, and how much will it be?
