  • Throttle Body Interchangability

    Hello all,
I have the oppertunity to purchase an SPS big bore throttle body from a 96 sl2, and according to the s-series swap guide it will fit my 95 sl2, but then later into the guide it says it will not fit my 95.
Can anybody confirm that it will fit or not? I dont see why it wouldnt fit, but you never know.

Here's the link to the swap guide I referenced. It is present right at the top and about 2 sections down.

    "91-94 Throttle bodies interchange.
    95-98 Throttle bodies interchange.
    99-2k Throttle bodies interchange"

    "95 AND 96-98 TB’s are not interchangeable
95 is different than the rest, however the intake manifold is interchangeable."

    Thanks,
    Chris

I'd grab it. You might need to swap the TPS sensor but it should fit fine.

The vac lines and ports may be different as well. That can be pretty easily worked around though.
It's not my fault, blame the radiation.
