welcome to the wonderful world of Saturn. everything in these cars rattles! my answer, either dynomat the whole car, or remove all interior panels.

of course, there are probably other, more intelligent courses of action which will be posted when the rest of the nation is no longer sound asleep...

OMFG my interior is teh worst. Lessee here, I should probably put my rattles in a list:

passenger door speaker cover
passenger door corner trim (inside by the sideview mirror)
rearview mirror
dash cover (in 2 places)
BOTH inner door skins (lots of missing plastic rivets that i've yet to replace)
driver's side inner door handle
passenger side rear interior skin
passenger rear seatbelt bezel
driver front seatbelt anchor (those damn automatic seatbelts)
ash tray
accesory tray (the one in front of the handbrake)
handbrake handle (only when it's cold)
hood (dented)
passenger headlight cover
And there's some high pitched cricket sound coming from somewhere in the dash that I can't seem to locate.

Of course I'm sure the side exhaust with an underbody dump doesn't help matters.

My dash used to rattle until i removed the stock plastic crap and applied small pieces of velcro (soft side) to the edges of the dash and where it clips in by the defroster. What drives me nuts is the area where the pull cup meets the door panel. It squeaks and creaks whenever i grab it. I should probably put some velcro on that as well.

So far i applied fatmat to the driver's door but not the other areas. I could have today, but i decided to rip my instrument cluster apart to put the electroluminescent glow gauges in. Other than that, my car doesnt rattle at all. It clunks from the suspension being shot but it doesnt rattle!

Between the exhaust and the damn crickets under the dash, that's a battle I can't win without hearing damage.

I get a rattle from my speaker panels, dash cover, mirror trim, and c pillars. I used some foam stripping on the speaker panels which has helped. Elemental Designs has some good sound deadening material.

Where did you get that? Thats the stuff that comes on the door skins and under the door cups from the factory, but it all falls off when you remove the cup or panel. Thats all i need to get rid of the one rattle in my car.

in my 97 the stupid stereo centre console area raddles like a mofo, and same with the side mirror adjuster panel and the 2 front door locks panel areas.

but i just usually punch the door locks and make sure there locked and they quiet down.

i got the poly mount inserts. thats all for my vibrating ability.
