• Can someone take a picture...

Of their 3rd gen interior ('00+) 3 door coupe driver's side door open/close sensor(which should be on the end of the dash if I understand correctly)?

Also, a picture of a driver's door open/close sensor on a 2nd gen interior, non-3dr coupe would be helpful...

I'm getting sick of trying to locate a '99 3dr coupe driver's side actuator with the door sensor, and am wondering if I can hook something right up.

Ah shit man, I know how difficult it is to find a '99 3-door for sure. We just had one come in with MAJOR front/drivers damage and I was lucky enough to be able to get the third door skin for Matt. I had to unbolt the drivers hinges and open them as one door because the two would not come apart.

Anyway, after a pic is posted I can check the car again for this sensor but I am pretty sure if its in the dash on that side it's probably wrecked.

Cool, I think I have a hole in the side of the dash that I could install one of those in. Crazy half year one model only part. Saturnparts.net wants $125 for the '99 3dr driver's actuator/door sensor, and so far I've not been able to find one elsewhere.

Really??? I never noticed that when i was selling them all those years .

I was referring to what is the difference in the sensor thingy from a 99.5 (three door) and the others?? Since I have heard the 99.5 is specefic vs. all other three door models.

lol, on the 2nd gens the switch is at the rear of the driver door so .... 99 is should be there IIRC

on the 99.5, there is no place for the sensor there since there is no part of the frame to mount the switch too.

Also since 99.5 has the 2nd gen interior still, the hole on the AC vent for the sensor on the dash like the 3rd gen interior is not there either.

                            I think lol
