  • Fiber Glassing

    Im really interested in fiberglassing, and Id like to start learning how.

    Today I picked up the resin, body filler, and what not

    Im looking for any good how to sites, books, or forums that I can check out so that i can get started!

      If you dont want to mess with the liquid resin, theres a Fiberglass Resin Jelly that works pretty well. Its like body filler, but is still flexible afterwards. Its definetly a good learning tool for the first timer. I'll probably use it when i do my sub box because i dont wanna have to buy a respirator that i'll probably only use a few times.

          that stuff is easy to work with, the liquid resin stuff works great but makes a hell of a mess. i made my gauge pod with that fiberglass resin jelly and the fiberglass sheets, and it is pretty damn durable, i think there is a pic of the gauge pod in my pics thing, and if interested i can post up some from beginning to end pics.

            You're also goign to want atleast particle masks, some disposable paper cups for mixing the glass & resin, a dropcloth is goign to be helpful depending on where you're working, masking tape if you're making a mold.
