when I was looking for a lipkit I was stuck on the descision of the APC kit or the californiaexpresions kit. I see you have posted th california expresions kit. I went onto cardomain and asked LOTS of questions about the 2 before making me descision(for the millionth time, I CANT SPELL) I would suggest the same

Is that the name of the lower pics kit? Thats an OEM offering aint it? Highly doubtful any dealers would have that in stock still

      Ill hit up cardomain...

Were you lucky enough to find out where someone got their kit, or did you hit a dead end?

Not sure if you are interested but I have an APC lip kit that I was going to install on my 01 SC2 but I think I have decided not to. PM me if you are interested.

The reason I am not installing it is I have side exit exaust now and I would have to hack up the kit to get it on and I don't feel like doing that.

yeah I got the APC too it looks Awesome tpoo. Scott, do you have the rear valance with the same grooves as the sideskirts? Mine was sposd to have it but didn't when I got it. The California Expressions was still being offered (at least around here) at the Stealership but it was 1100bucks and EBAY will have it every once in a while for 5-800bucks.

            yah mine has the groovs.

I put it on partially once and it looked fricking awesome. I wasn't thinking about the lip kit though when I installed my side exit eshaust.

My car still looks sweet though with out the kit.

I've seen a few with the lips and they seem to look pretty good.

and hey Hellix, i know this has nothing to do with this post, but how easy was it for you to do ur steering wheel.

I wasn't too hard after I got the correct adapter.

I uses a micrometer to get the diameter of the sterringwheel shaft, which I think it was close to 18 or 19MM but I don't remeber. Then I went to auto zone and opened all the hub adapters untill I found one that had the same inside diameter and then bolted it on.

After that it was just a matter of finding a steering wheel that would fit on the atapter.

*** please note that when you take off the stock steering wheel that you (1) disconnect the battery, (2) pull the airbag fuse, and (3) reach up under the dash and disconnect the wires for the airbag. You don't want that thing to go off in your face. ***

If you have any specific questions PM me.

thanks for the info, a lot of ppl made it sound really complicated and were selling rediculously expensive adaptors that looked crappy.

I know this is an older thread, but just wondering if anyone thinks the APC kit will fit an '00 SL2, or even look decent.

Just because you can doesn't mean you SHOULD, I like my car but I wouldn't mind a bit of a lip on it just to make that front end a little more...substantial.

Anything will obviously fit with enough modification but the SL has a much more flat face than a coupe. I dont see it fitting without cutting and fitting...
