do those hood pins help stop the flappy flappy hood at 50+

Ya im around franklin and cool springs everyday. i pretty much live up there.
the flip flop cost me a dollar for the pins and took about an hour of cutting. the trunk lines up like it did before because i replaced the top bolts with pins so it still shuts nice.
