  • HELP! Rim cleaner fucked up my wheels!




    I I figured since they were new, but got dirty I'd give 'em a wash. And this shit happened. I used Turtle wax platinum wheel cleaner.

    What can I use to get this off????

    It looks like hell. Help please guys!!!

        You F'ed up. Try some meguiars rim polish. It comes in a little red can. Read the label first. It might be to abrasive.

          Do you think that will work? If I remember right, Vinny and some of the guys at the BBQ last night said maybe trying some Aluminum cleaner.

                    I keep hearing more and more about "mothers" products. But I have never used them before.

                      "BUMP" for mothers care! The acid spray you used will most likely not come out but if you don't remove it soon it will oxidize. Try the Neverdull after cleaning it then if it works soap and water it followed by 2 coats of wax( I always wax my wheels since 97 when I ruined a porcshe Turbo at the dealership I worked at.

                          Call and complain. Probably can get a free set of rims out of it. Apparently it's not safe for all wheels.

                              mcquires or mothers polish for non chrome wheels... i've cleaned worse than that back to better than new shine
