ok so instead of getting my exuasht rewelded another 10 times... im just going to a muffler shop tomorrow and gonna get a custom cat-. Well im also tired of a loud muffler so i was going to see if they have one of those thermal reserch mufflers that give you the performance but stay quiet...

thats my plan for tomorrow morning... any suggestions before i go and do it?

well...this is probably kinda obvious, but unless you've had recommendations about a place from people, shop around. don't just have it done at the first place you go to.

back when i was lookin for a place to weld on a new muffler, many moons ago, the first several places all said about 60-70 just in labor for the muffler. 5th place i went to, the guy looked under the car and said he'd do it for $21 flat fee...

so shop around and see what's out there.

Geo, I highly recommend Superior Muffler over on Goldenrod, they've helped me and others in this area quite a lot.

Are you talking about that turbine muffler thing that has two routes depending on how you push the car?

Personally, and it's been said a bunch of times by Sam and myself, go pick up a Moroso Spiralflow muffler, put it where the resonator would be. Then get any decent style muffler you want for the end. It's not going to be loud and will sound good.

I really wish Advance Auto parts carried morosso products, then I woulda bought that instead of a glasspack.

Vin is the spintech muffler better or u think the spiral is better? Sound quality is a must whether it be silent or not. Fuck the cutout... I was thinking of pulling a scooter and going out the side with a big ass resonator.

the spiral sounds pretty good by itself when I heard Melissa's car. it's a lot smoother and quieter than the spintech is going to be. the spintech just sounds nasty but in a good way.
