    hubcentric spacer

thing is though, the wheels on this car align themselves based on teh lugs, so you should be aligned fine once you tighten the wheel lugs down.

one of my wheels is missing one, as was one on the sc2, they were fine because the wheels center themselves based off the lugs, not the hug. they are lugcentric, not hubcentric

you'll know right away if they're not centered when you drive it anyway.

not all rims are lugcentric, my ARE's aren't, I even have to run hub rings on the ion, as i did on my 98sc2

get em. working at the tire shop... i know that the 'hub rings' do help. Even tho the wheel will be aligned when the lugs are down... it still plays a bit. and sometimes you can feel it. If you feel it, get the hub rings and youll be better.

You don't have to get an alignment after you get new rims.

unless you notice funky tire wear within a month of putting the new tires, which happened to me.

if he' spacing them i would align it just for peace of mind to know that everything is holding together as it should.

if you have wheels pacers then the hubcentric ring doesn't do jack shit, think about it matt

I tihnk he means if you add spacers under the wheel, like those 3mm ones from SPS I think, or whatever, you should get an alignment because the wheels will be out more, which I dont think would effect much, aside from camber.

3mm spacer won't affect the alignment...won't affect camber either.
