i'm sure this has been asked before but oh well.... i have a 94sl1, what other model seats would be compatible in my car? would it be possible to put in seats from a SC*? specially for the rear seats.... would i be able to fold the rear seats down still?

reason i ask is i'd love leather and my rear front seats are shot.

can back seats from a 2 door fit in a 4 door.
i would say yea but i have never really sat and compared both of them.

the coupes have cup holders in the back and I believe the SLs don't So Id say no but if they do It be interested in a cupholderless back seat

Yes it is, but the seatback latches must be bent inward slightly, and the plastic bases changed as well. I have just installed a 97 SC2 rear seat in my 93 SL2

Front seats from an SL fit in my SC2, and right now my passenger seat is an SL first gen seat, so I am guessing theyll fit. Also, back seats from a 2 door are smaller than a 4 door's seats I think.

All seats from all years are interchangable. For example Jegster (I don't know if he is on sixthsphere) has 2nd gen SC2 seats in his SL all around. When it comes to the rears you just need to make sure that you snag the plastic frame that the seat bottoms clip on to (and the rear center consoul/cup holders). I myself have 2nd gen SC2 fronts in my 1st gen SL.
