Does anyone know if the Gen. 3 S-series needles in the gauge cluster are lexan based? If not is there a company out there that makes Lexan replacement needles for the s-series?

Did you know when you pull off the needles and put them back in a random spot, they automatically reset themselves in the proper spot?!?!? CRAZY!

They dont reset themselves. I pulled mine off the other day and painted them red and had to leave the plastic view shield off for the next few days so I could place the tach needle in the proper place again. I did go to the JY and got some Cobalt needles. they fit and look pretty good and are much more sturdy in terms of they wont break as easily if pulled off the wrong way. However, they are shorter and when i went to place them in the right positions after driving with them, I pulled the needle out and the whole other needle behind it came out with it along with a string of copper. So now my tach no longer works.
