• Rear bumper question..

I have a 93 SL2 and want to put a SC2 rear bumper on it so I can relocate my liscense plate and shave my trunk lid. Can I just buy the cover for it or do I need to get the SC2 brackets with the styerfoam and everthing??

I believe those frames are very different, so chances are it's not going to work out how you're picturing it, if at all

Yeah my firend with a 94 or 93 SL2 has a different construction of the rear end (lol) than on my SC2, unless you wanted to try a 2nd or 3rd gen for some reason

I got the idea from a page that I saw on here and I have seen it on a few other cars as well. It looks like an SC bumper to me heres a link to the one on this site that I just found http://www.sixthsphere.com/forum2/album ... pic_id=794

kind of neat looking but is it worth all that work?? is the lid on the s series metal like on the ions... it might be easier to cover up the existing and put it crooked or something like the old lowriders did.

I cant stand the crooked plate thing I think its hideous looking.. The lid is almost done being shaved I was just trying to find out if the thing goes rite on or not before I go buy it from the junkyard..

Actually, that looks to me like he took the center tag and reverse light section from a coupe rear bumper and fabricated it into a sedan bumper. That is definately not a coupe rear bumper, they do not have the molded mudflap things at the wheel wells.

No Frank. SaturnRicer's name is RJ and that is Tom. He's been around a LOOOOONG while. I remember Tom talking about his car on XS but cant remember if he just molded in the reverse lights and license plate mount onto his SL bumper.
