  • Emblem change

I know...sounds easy, right? Not so much. I'm changing out the red and silver emblems on my SC1 for the black and silver ones. I've taken off the old ones and have the front and rear ones on. it's the side emblems that are giving me no end of trouble.
I've loosened most of the wheel well facia except for the bottom fastener which I can't seem to get off and I'm trying to screw down the pinch nut, but I can't get it down far enough by hand and I can't get the wrench back there to tighten it down. Ideas?

im not sure what ur having a problem with, but the emblem isnt secured with a screw, if u turn it it might come off easier than just pulling on it but it shouldnt be hard, whatever ur problem is i think ur gonna kick urself when u figure it out lol

The side emblems ARE secured with a screw. Just take the whel wells out and turn the wheel all the way to one side and it should be staring you in the face

Guys, she said she already got the old ones off. She can't seem to get the nut back on tight enough. I'll be down that way Friday and can take a look at it if you can't get it figured out by then. LMK

After opening up the fender linings, I was able to get my arm inside the fender and used a 1/4 ratchet w/ small socket (can't remember the size) and it was no trouble. Sometimes you can get it by hand but to make sure it was on nice and tight, I used the ratchet. It's tight but doable. Just don't over tighten them.

XUP, alot of body shops, etc.. will just use double sided tape to apply the new ones because they don't want to bother with it. They hold for a while until the weather works them off.
