I replaced my 03 steering wheel with a wheel I bought from LKQ on ebay. I don't know if its an '04 redline wheel or '05/'06 regular ion or redline wheel. Can someone tell me if there's a difference between them? I don't see any differences from the looks of them. The wheel fit my steering column, and I'm not having any problems with it. The cruise control works perfectly also. The problem I am having is that I'm trying to get an airbag for it, or even an airbag cover, but every company asks me what yr the wheel is. One company asked me if the steering wheel was from a coupe or sedan. I don't see a difference in that either.
From what I can tell, there are two kinds of ion airbags...
'03/'04 ion coupe and sedan
and '04 redline, '05 and '06 regular ions and redline ions all look the same.
