  • Interior vibrations

I moved to new york and as you all know of the bad streets, my car started to vibrate slightly and as the driving on unavoidable potholes seems to get worse. How can I find out where the annoying vibration is? Im not exactly a skilled mechanic or body shop expert but I dont want to pay alot of $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ to fix this annoyance.

LOL I like that one, Vibration Dampening Adjustment Knob...I know with my coupe, the rear LATCH Sytem coevers have been rattling, but thats with the 2 12" Kenwoods Hitting hard. Other than that also on the rear side, check your third brakelight, sometimes the insullation pops off and can cause the platic to connect with the glass. Also, the front dash can rattle as well simply because its so many damn plastic pieces. I'd also reccomend a couple tiny sheets of Sound deadening around your speakers, might help a bit if theyre moving around a bit. Also, like it was said above, check your screws and bolts. When it comes out from the factory, everythings nice and tight. After a couple years or months, things start to loosen up.

If ya need any help man, gimme a call or PM me for my PH #.

Is your amp on all the time or does it turn off when you turn the car itself off? I know it should be hooked up to the Pink wire, at least on the '03's. New Harness in '04+.

Cant be the Amp then, if its not drawing power from the battery. Anything else aftermarket on the car? Alternator check out? Bring it to Autozone and see if you can get one of the free charging system tests. Might help to diagnose the problem.

actually, it coiudl be the amp. you could have been stressing your car's charging system for the past 2 years and it finally decided to quit on you.
lawd it's been a long time
