  • redline grill

    finally finished my project ive been working on. i put a billet grill in my ion redline. i think it looks pretty swell. any opinions? im just showing off [img]{SMILIES_PATH}/biggrin.gif[/img]

      He got it from customcargrills.com, its a cobalt gril that he turned upside down I think.

                    Yeah since the front bumper opening is the only source for air to hit the radiator and aftercooler. [img]{SMILIES_PATH}/rolleyes.gif[/img] Dumbass

                      there is a reason why saturn doesn't have an optional part listening of recommend one... because its not a good idea... that looks hella restrictive to airflow... i get you are losing 5-10hp on it.. you should dyno test it.

                        Why do you think there's that black plastic flap underneath the radiator, condenser, and aftercooler? Could it be to direct air towards them? [img]{SMILIES_PATH}/shock.gif[/img]

                          well mat, if a dyno test is at a stand still, and air FLOWING into the bumper will let you gain HP, then wont a dyno not show results either way?

                            but yes little one if you have ever done one they put a big ass fan in front of the car to allow moderate airflow for that exact reason.. to cool shizit...


                            and that grill looks much less restrictive and is still restricting air... do what you want but compromising performance for blingage just aint my bag of tea.

                              you know... jaxn.. give a real close up picture of the grille so we can see material and arial opening as well as flow direction before we continue this anymore.l
