recently i got an 01-03 evo5 body kit for my car. only i ordered a 97-00 kit, but they sent me the wrong one. i can make the front fit by drilling off set holes, and bringing the headlights out more. does anybody know how i would get the rear bumper to fit or even the side skirts.

Making an 01-03 kit fit a 98 sc2

have you tried to test fit it at all yet? is this for an SC2? if I remember all should bolt up except maybe the side skirt on teh 3rd door side, but the front bumper will bolt up, and rear should as well. I was looking to do this on my old sc2 so that the backup lights would be in teh bumper and not the reflector piece.

I've thought about doing this too. The entire set of front end body parts look like they will bolt up (from an appearance standpoint...I've never looked at the mounting holes or anything), but the rear bumper doesnt look as easy considering the gap between the rear bumper and the rear quarter panels looks more diagonal (from the side) instead of horizontal like with the second gens.
So If you got the rear quarter panels, the rear bumper and the decklid, you'd be set...but then you'd have inconsistency with the doors...so you'd have to get the doors...but then you have the third door that isnt part of the driver's side quarterpanel...
So basically I've thought about doing the front end and the rear decklid/taillights...if possible.1997 Silver SC2 Coupe

Here's the rear bumper from the side to show what I'm talking about:
Third Gen
Second Gen
The gaps are different on a second gen...more horizontal.
As I look at it though, one could probably take the skin on the third door and put it on and shave it so the gaps are gone...not sure if you could make the third door work on a second gen unless you did some serious structural work.1997 Silver SC2 Coupe

Err...the third gen in that picture already has swhat looks like the expressions series side skirts and rear bumper so that is not a stock 3rd gen. Not sure if that was your intent or if you just grabbed a third gen picture but you may want to compare a non modded 3rd gen.-Allan
Bought a 2001 Saturn SC2 new, sold it in 2008, bought it back in 2017. I don't know why.

Sprint - Shouldnt matter if its modded or not...what he's got is a 3rd gen body kit that he's trying to figure out how to get onto a second gen body. The lower part of the bumper is irrelevant...its the upper part where it connects to the rest of the car is what I'm talking about...and its not the same as on a second gen.1997 Silver SC2 Coupe

The rear lines are not even close. It would take a lot of body work to make it work. Are you sure that you want to do that?
