paint time!. the trim panels that run over the front windows (particulalry the passenger side) are starting to peel and crack a little. i think that side was replaced when the car was wrecked, along with the hood, which is showing some of the same symptoms). basically what i'm thinking about doing is painting them black to give the apperance of a "floating roof" if that makes sense. heres a quick photo chop i did. i also tinted my windows hehehe

i've got access to a sprayer i think as well as all the necessary products except the paint, and ian suggest i go with ppg (expensive but worth it?). any other tips and tricks i'd love to hear.

Same setup as an SC, I'd go with a black roof also.

I don't think he is talkin about the roof, like those limited edition sc's, he photoshopped the A and C pillars black (from the gold) and left the roof gold.

It looks interesting, would look better with some Black Rota rims or other black rims.

I am not talkin some 20" blings with chrome lips or anytihing. I have black rotas on mine and get comments about them all the time. They are very basic lookin.

It's not a big deal, I had to jump on it because you had it all caps and bolded and whatnot lol.

I understand your point. I have the flat black rims because they are lightweight first, and I like the look but for others looks is all that matters, so as you said, to each his/her own.

Me, I think silver rims look really bad on gold color vehicles, but that is just my opinion on it.

And sorry for saying he instead of she.

ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, i thought you were talking about the window frame. geese led me in the wrong direction to what you wanted done. preferably, id keep it body color. and you already got my opinion on what to do although since it wasnt the window frame, you might want to run that paint completely off if its peeling. but you cant use too rough of paper or you will groove the plastic. use like a 320 grit to remove the paint, prime it with 3 thin coats, sand with 600, then hit with like 2 more coats of primer and sand with 600 again and see how smooth it is. from there you get into laying the color which again thin coats. check closely that sand lines arent showing with color on. then the other shit ah you know i told you the rest of the shit.

but nothing wrong with black rims at all, its stealth. i cant stand chrome or silver rims. me its black, black with polished lip, or gunmetal. no other choices, i dont want it to be flashy
