  • Car Detailing Experts: Paint Restoration Input?

My car is 11 years old now, I am the third owner, and when I got it its finish wasnأƒئ’أ‚آ¢أƒآ¢أ¢â‚¬إ،أ‚آ¬أƒآ¢أ¢â‚¬إ¾أ‚آ¢t (and still isn't) pristine; not beyond salvation though. The paint has a lot of shallow/fine scratches, typical swirl marks, some road film and its share of deeper scratches (although there arenأƒئ’أ‚آ¢أƒآ¢أ¢â‚¬إ،أ‚آ¬أƒآ¢أ¢â‚¬إ¾أ‚آ¢t that many). What Iأƒئ’أ‚آ¢أƒآ¢أ¢â‚¬إ،أ‚آ¬أƒآ¢أ¢â‚¬إ¾أ‚آ¢m mostly aiming to eliminate are, the light scratches and swirls marks. Iأƒئ’أ‚آ¢أƒآ¢أ¢â‚¬إ،أ‚آ¬أƒآ¢أ¢â‚¬إ¾أ‚آ¢ve always tried to take very good care of my car, regular washes/waxes (and mostly just a measure to keep things from getting worse) and what not. I am a wicked newb to paint restoration (I guess I can call it thatأƒئ’أ‚آ¢أƒآ¢أ¢â‚¬إ،أ‚آ¬أƒâ€?أ‚آ¦). My main goal is to eliminate the fine scratches, swirls, and road film as they dominate the cars finish. The nastier scratches I donأƒئ’أ‚آ¢أƒآ¢أ¢â‚¬إ،أ‚آ¬أƒآ¢أ¢â‚¬إ¾أ‚آ¢t think Iأƒئ’أ‚آ¢أƒآ¢أ¢â‚¬إ،أ‚آ¬أƒآ¢أ¢â‚¬إ¾أ‚آ¢ll mess with, they are so few in number and I donأƒئ’أ‚آ¢أƒآ¢أ¢â‚¬إ،أ‚آ¬أƒآ¢أ¢â‚¬إ¾أ‚آ¢t really want to risk making things worse (although I might take a shot later down the road). Anyway, I looked toward Meguairs أƒئ’أ‚آ¢أƒآ¢أ¢â‚¬إ،أ‚آ¬أƒâ€¦أ¢â‚¬إ“Professional Lineأƒئ’أ‚آ¢أƒآ¢أ¢â‚¬إ،أ‚آ¬أƒâ€?أ‚آ

A Chevrolet 5.7-liter LS1 V8 with this much specific power (horsepower per cubic inch) would be making 2,137 hp
