just a question with HID's. When you flick your highs on do you have a gap after where there is no light (when you go back to the HID's)?

Yes my question was directed to anyone who installed HID's allready I wont have mine in till I get home

Back on subject; I'd like to be able to have both at the same time as well I'm sure someone has figured it out already. I seen the "how to" for disablin Daytime running lights and I will be doing that one I'm sure to enable both lights at the same time can't be much diferent.

My Dad's 95' SW2 has a wicked dark spot with the high beams on. He doesn't seem to notice, but it drives me nuts whenever I borrow his car; and he has PIAA bulbs too (High/Low). I don't remember if I have as much of a prob in my car, will find out when I get it back out shortly. I know I'll be stepping up to some half decent bulbs at least. Would be kinda interested in making this work too!

Bringing this back from the dead...

I just tried to do this mod to my 96 SL2 (with disabled DRLs). Didn't work. Something very weird happens. I can splice a relay into the high beam ground circuit OK, so that when I turn on the high beams, the relay clicks, activating the other circuit (which I intended to be the low beam ground). But when this happens, the high beam bulb on that side doesn't light up. Basically, I can run either the relay, OR the bulb, but NOT both - even if I wire up both in parallel.

Now I remember why I never got around to doing this on my other 96 SL2...

Any ideas? Suggestions? I'd love to be able to make this work - the roads out here in the back woods of Maine get mighty dark, and I've already hit one deer in the past year (in a company vehicle, not my own)...

just tap the wire from ur high beams to ur lows. try to use a relay because the amperage is low and both the lights will probably be dim. if u do this... i'd recommend disconnecting the drl's from the original circuit so that u won't burn out ur fuses and such.

wow, this is an oldy, lol. Since installing my HID's there is no need for high beams. If I do turn them on it is harder to see due to lack of light, so if having alot of view just go with the HID's

eh.. you can get a ticket for driving with your high beams on.
